The issues related to implementation are affected by an organizations culture.

As can be seen from the issues discussed in this lesson, an organizations culture consists of the beliefs, values, and behavioral norms that are shared and/or practiced among its members.

The concept of a safety culture has been applied to organizations in error-critical fields such as aviation, nuclear power, and the petrochemical industry. Increased effort to deal with errors in the field of medicine has heightened awareness of safety as a cultural issue.
