HAWKHAWK, which stands for Hyperdimensional Attribute Weighted Kerning, is a software program that was developed for the MERS-TM project.
Each field contained in computerized MERS-TM forms is given a "weight" based on its importance to the process of identifying the closest match.
The software utilizes matching technology to identify events that would be considered similar, but would not necessarily be exact matches. Each comparison is assigned a similarity score ranging from 0 to 1.
